Challenge
Orbit Fitness was operating on PrestaShop, which had become unstable, inefficient, and costly to maintain. The platform struggled under performance issues, and the checkout experience was clunky and directly impacting conversions. With Triumph ERP powering POS across multiple retail stores, warehouse management, and order processing, a deeply integrated and reliable ecommerce solution was essential.  
Solution

Centralised Data

Product data originates in Triumph, is enriched and managed in Airtable, and automatically syncs to Shopify. Orders placed online flow back to Triumph for fulfilment, with real-time status updates returned to customers.

Omni Channel Gift Card System

Built using Airtable we developed a tailored gift card system that enables customers to purchase and redeem gift cards seamlessly across both online and in-store channels.

Local Inventory Visibility

Customers can browse product availability by store location, with real-time inventory data pulled directly from Triumph ERP. This allows them to see what’s in stock at their nearest retail outlet and opt for in-store pickup at checkout.

Our solution was configured to align with Orbit’s existing operational processes, ensuring adoption was smooth across the entire business.

ERP Integration with Airtable

We architected a robust, bi-directional integration between Shopify and Triumph ERP using Airtable as a lightweight middleware layer. This enabled:
  • Product data to flow from Triumph into Airtable for enrichment, then into Shopify
  • Orders to return to Triumph for fulfilment with real-time status syncing
  • Inventory levels to stay in sync across online and in-store systems

Optimised for Conversion

The website was built with simplicity and speed in mind. A clean, conversion-first UI lets product photography and brand messaging take the lead. Orbit now benefits from Shopify’s industry-leading checkout, with, 15% higher conversion on average, 35% reduction in cart abandonment and faster performance across devices.
